What you should know
Why is playing music in a business different?
Personal music apps (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and others) are licensed for personal, non-commercial use. Playing music to customers in a shop, café or hotel is a public performance and may require permission from the rights holders. In Turkey these rights are managed by collecting societies.
At HYDW we address this in two ways: HYDW original music produced in-house, or popular music played under the business’s own licence. We agree on the right model for your business during the quote stage and share the terms in writing.

Can I play Spotify or YouTube in my business?
Their terms of use cover personal, non-commercial use; playing to customers in a business falls outside that. You need a service designed for commercial use.

What if I want popular songs?
We broker the necessary agreements. In this model the licence is held by your business; HYDW prepares the playlists and manages playback.
What is the timestamped report for?
It records what was played at which store on a given day in a form that cannot be altered later, so you have it whenever you need to document your playback.
